Lyta was originally the station telepath on Babylon 5 when Ambassador Kosh first arrived, but when an attempt was made on Kosh's life, she "saw" the Vorlon for the very first time. Shortly thereafter, she was reassigned elsewhere on Earth, presumably to make sure she kept quiet about the Vorlons.
Several years later, Lyta returned and again met with the Vorlons, this time on their homeworld. She served as attache to the Vorlon ambassadors at Babylon 5, until the Alliance finally had to move against the Vorlons. She now serves as the station's resident telepath.
Lyta was recently forced to rejoin the Psi-Corps, because of financial problems. She is, however, a member in name only, according to Mr. Bester, who offered her the job. Now Lyta has traveled to Mars with Dr. Franklin in order to help The Resistance.
