The Vorlon Empire

The Vorlon Empire is shrowded in mystery. Only one person, Lyta Alexander, has visited the Vorlon Homeworld and lived to tell the tale. Unfortunately, she has taken a vow of silence and refuses to devulge any information concerning that most unique place.

The first "official" contact with the Vorlons began when Babylon 5 went online, when Ambassador Kosh came abord. Almost immediately after his arrival, there was an attempt on his life by a fanatic who, via utilization of a unique projection device, made the event out to look as if then Commander Jeffrey Sinclair had commited the act. Fortunately, for the sake of Earth, the true culprit was found and a possible conflict with the Vorlons was avoided.

The first major involvement of the Vorlons in any conflict began when the Vorlons attacked a group of Shadow vessels and caught them completely by surprise. The mass destruction of the Shadows gave much confidence to previously non-aligned worlds who have now signed on to fight the Shadows as the member of a large, cohesive attack force.

On a much sadder note, Ambassador Kosh was mysteriously killed several months ago in his quarters. There were no signs of forced entry, no DNA fragments of any sort, but the place looked as if it had been through a war. Kosh's ship was the recepient of the remains of his encounter suit, which then flew off into the black void.

Shortly thereafter Kosh's death, a replacement arrived on Babylon 5 to assume the role of the fallen Ambassador. Since Vorlons rarely died, the government asked to have the death of Kosh kept secret, so the Alliance would not be distabilized. Although the new Ambassador dons a different encounter suit, he is otherwise like every other Vorlon.

"Here's the information we have concerning Kosh."

"Here is what data we have on Vorlon ships."
