The Star Fury is the main offensive weapon of most Earth strike forces. The 'Furies go in, blow up what they can and remove anti-ship weapons so the big carriers can move in the for the kill. There are 2 main designs: the basic model and the atmospheric variant.
The base model, shown above and immediately below, is equipped for space combat and patrols only. It has four wings, two on each side, with fore and aft engines on each wing. In the center is the cockpit, along with its only weapon, a plasma ball cannon, below the cockpit. The ship is quite maneuverable, able to rotate 180 degrees in about 1 second.
Pictured above is the atmospheric variant, also called the "Thunderbolt." It has slightly longer wings, as well as a slimer cockpit area. Underneath the lower wings are slots for various missiles and bombs that can be used during atmospheric bombing raids or against capital ships in space. It's main weapon is located in the front nose - a rapid fire plasma ball cannon that fires a slightly smaller shot than the base model, but at least 4 times as fast.
