Londo was originally assigned to Babylon 5 to represent his people onboard the new station. His position was not much more than a bad joke, as his work was of small importance. Throughout his 3 years onboard, however, he has grown in importance with his people rather quickly. After a short appointment to the Royal Court and the mysterious death of the Centauri Emperor Cartagia, Londo has attained the rank of Prime Minister, just one rung of the ladder short of becoming Emperor himself.
Londo originally proposed the treaty between the Narn and Centauri to support Babylon 5 and The Resistance, with G'Kar agreeing only after some prodding. It is rumored the two very briefly met and shared a drink in the Zocalo just before the announcement.
